QUALIFIER UPDATE

Hey gamers! Jamesbot here with a small update…long story short, SSA players won’t be able to get a visa to Canada in time for LAN.

With Chalked Cast joining up with the event and Rebellion backing us all up, we tried to go BIG…and unfortunately we didn’t do the necessary research on the Canadian visa process. We found that while many countries can easily obtain an electronic travel authorization (eTA), many countries (such as South Africa & Malaysia) cannot use that process and wait times can take up to 100 days and cost up to $100 dollars.

That said, because of our mistake, Chalked Cast has graciously donated $1,500 for an SSA regional development tournament run by Greybeard, and we also learned the hurdles we must jump through to include SSA in our next event! And we fully plan to do another international event this off-season (if there’s enough gaps in the calendar).

As for the qualifiers, we have open qualifiers running this weekend on July 5th, with the closed qualifier on July 6th! Below are the registration links!
