Let’s take a look:

• Mode is 1v1 Rocket League

• Online Ladder Play is Mon/Wed/Thurs May 19 to July 10

  • The queue window will be open from 5:30pm ET to 9pm ET

• Playoffs is July 12&13

• LAN is July 24-27!

• Preseason matches starting Monday, May 12th!

That’s right, I said LAN! More on that later…now I’ll try to explain how this event works. I have a matchmaking system where players can queue anonymously, so people can’t dodge match-ups they don’t like. The queue will open at 5:30pm ET and close at 9pm ET, with all matches being streamed by one or more players, by me, or by another streamer who wants to cover the match. Players will receive 9 points for a win, and lose 7 points for a loss. I plan to publish the top 10 leader board on this site every week. I’ve also decided to apply a maximum games per week limit, which is currently at 5 but may change. This is because not everyone will have the time to play every day, and I don’t want the top leader-board spots be dominated by people who have more free time than others.

At the end of ladder play, the top 8 players will qualify for playoffs, which will be two groups of double elimination. Currently the LAN is set for 4 players, but can increase if I’m able to get more sponsors on board to help with the costs of this thing! That said, I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Data Coach who is sponsoring the prize pool of this event, showing that they’re invested in helping the scene develop! If you’re trying to improve your gameplay, I’d definitely recommend checking out their system!

I’m also accepting applications to join the tournament! If you’re an elite player in NA and you want to apply, just DM me on twitter or discord! My hope is that 32+ players will be a part of this project, and use it as a platform to build comradery in the region and also improve as players.

In addition to all this, I’m also planning to do crowdfunding similar to the old Gold Rush days! I’m currently working on a poster, t-shirt and hoodie design. In the meantime, there are two VIP tickets available which will help expand the event, as well as three premier community sponsor opportunities which boost prize pool!
